Looking for support for neurotypical AND neurodiverse children?

My name is Kate, I am a teacher and former Deputy Headteacher and SENDCo and I am here to help!

Children all learn at different rates and in different ways. I have spent my career gaining a wide range of experience to help hundreds of children grow in confidence and realise their potential no matter what the challenges are.

My aim with Kate Bodle Education is to share that knowledge and experience to help even more children discover the joy of learning and to find their path whatever that may be.

Whether you are here searching for guidance for your own child, your class or your school - you've found an experienced parent, teacher and school leader who can support you. Together we can make small changes that make a big difference.

1 in 5 children are neurodiverse. Many will struggle in primary school without the right support.

However with the right support and intervention, adaptive classroom strategies and informed parents these children will not only survive but will thrive.

Neurodiversity does bring it's challenges but equally and more importantly it brings strengths whether those be creative, sporting, engineering and more. We just need to change what we are doing around the child to enable them to succeed.

By adopting strategies that are good for neurodiverse children many neurotypical children also make accelerated progress.

My experience not only as a teacher but also a parent has given me the tools that I can share to help you support your children.

MY APPROACH

I believe happy children learn.

I support schools to make small, practical changes to teaching approaches.

Informing the adults around the child including their parents to not only the help the child needs academically

but also how they can be supported emotionally.

Enabling every child to become a resilient and confident learner through care and encouragement.

If you understand, you can help, if you help you can make a change to the way a child feels, if the child is happy and confident - they will learn.

Everyone is a genius.
